She highlighted how climate change is having an impact on the nematodes population, which directly affects how growers are able to manage them. It\u2019s important to note, she says, \u201c<\/span>plant pathogenic nematodes can only be managed, never eradicated<\/span><\/i>\u201d.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the biostimulant side, Rovensa Next R&D Expert, <\/span>Alejandro Navarro Galiano<\/span><\/b>, talked about the critical role biostimulants play \u201cwhen all hell breaks loose\u201d. Climate change is increasing the severity and frequency of abiotic stress on crops.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From water stress to heat stress, growers are taking a hit to their yield and ultimately, their profitability.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The key, says Navarro, lies in \u201c<\/span>understanding the mechanisms of plant <\/span><\/i>stress tolerance and adaptation<\/span><\/i>\u201d and how biostimulants affect these mechanisms.
